Team Crown

The employees and friends of the Crown Automotive Group worked side-by-side with Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County to sponsor and build it's 10th home in the area. Located at 4462 67th St. North in St. Petersburg, the house will be home to the Williams family.

Every day, Habitat helps deserving families realize the dream of homeownership. It is truly a blessing for our team to be involved in the construction of our tenth Habitat home. It's a great milestone, and we couldn't be more excited to help another very deserving family in our community." 

Future homeowner Keidria Williams, an LPN at Inspired Living, has worked in the medical field for ten years while raising six children. She is currently attending Jersey College School of Nursing to earn her nursing degree and has added the process of becoming a Habitat homeowner to her workload so that she will soon have a permanent home for her family. 

She currently lives in an overcrowded apartment with her four sons, daughter and niece, with only one working bathroom to share between the seven of them. Williams said, "When I got the call that I was accepted into the Habitat program, I cried tears of joy and relief. I know that God had answered my prayers and I wouldn't have to worry anymore. My family will finally have a forever home, and it will be filled with love and blessings."

Habitat homeowner candidates build their futures by providing hours of construction on their own homes. In addition, they invest in hundreds of hours of labor into building homes for others. They attend extensive homeownership classes, such as financial planning and home maintenance that help them increase the likelihood of independence and success. After completing the extensive home ownership program, Habitat then sells the new homes to approved candidates for no profit and with interest-free loans. Habitat for Humanity homeowners continue to give back to the community because their mortgage payments help fund the building of more homes.
